Were working on a new mix design and the requirments of the design is we have to reach 3000 psi in six hours. We are trying to achieve this without switching to a type III High early cement. Currently were testing a 9 bag with 2% non chloride. It come close but not good enough! Im just looking for some suggestions or ideas. Thanx boyz!

I can talk to one of the quality guys at work who designs all our mixes.. we've got something that broke over 3000 in a few hours.. its a pavement repair

Hi early is just a different type of cement, and costs a little more

are you wanting something with type III or just regular cement because the mix we use is regular cement and breaks alot better than III

We just did a trial with a bunch of Type III, about 35 gallons of accelerator (in a 4 yard load!), and it broke 3755lbs in 5 hours. I don't have the particulars (and couldn't publish them anyway), but the internal temperature was 161 degrees (surface temp 148!) after those 5 hours. First test cylinder I've ever felt that I couldn't carry without gloves.
