You are looking at the pixelated typing characters of an asphalt quality control tester, or technician, or something like that.
Our asphalt department was hiring some seasonal help, so my plant manager called me a week after he laid me off to have me apply. Well, I took my UA this morning, and I start on Monday. It doesn't pay as much as driving, and I do hope to get back to driving someday soon, but it keeps me off the streets and off unemployment (which doesn't last forever, anyway).
This way I'll learn more about building materials, get my ACI card and my Nuke Card (whatever that is), and gain valuable knowledge.

Way to go Mort! It's always good to get those certifications. They can do nothing but enhance a resume.

I hope so. In that case, since I already know a lot of the tricks, retaliation will be easy ;D

Thanks. My first week went okay. I think it'll be alright until the redimix business picks up enough for me to go back there. I really miss driving, though. Counting rocks gets pretty old.
