My blower went out again a couple weeks ago while I was off, someone else drove my truck for a day and it went out on him so he washed it up parked it and told the mechanic about it.. Well a week and a half later I come in on a 9 degree day and the f_u_c_k_i_n thing still isnt fixed.. I froze I disagree off for about 3 hours till it warmed up a little.. It was either freeze or drive a piece of crap.. The mechanic had over a week to fix it but "couldn't" find the time..He fixed it the next day after I called the fleet manager and told him that it was the 4th time my blower quit working.. but anyways enough of that..
We get free acid, wax if we wanna use it but diesel works just as good and easier to use..Hammers, armor all, window cleaner, wheel polish..Bulldozer and an air hammer

My employer supplies wax, Armor All, glass cleaner, paper towels and, with supervision, muratic acid. They love the chrome crap - not me. It's a mixer - not a chicken truck.

Cant stand the chrome!!! Ive had the same truck for 2 1/2 years and it is just fine. But they want to send it to a rural plant. So I'm stuck with a 2009 Sterling with just about the whole front end in chrome. Not only is it gaudy looking but its "plastic" chrome. I haven't figured a way to get it off yet.

I've red-tagged trucks for defrosters before. Its a safety hazard when you can't see out the front window.

My company supplies cleaning equipment and materials, but not the time. I have no problem with trying to keep a clean truck, but when the company says that I can only clean it Mon., Wed. and Fri. for 45 minutes then I become somewhat I don't give a darnish. Top it off the cleaner they use is a joke. I will say this to those folks who are buying things to clean their truck, "My hat's off to you." I refuse to buy cleaning supplies for their truck. If they want it clean then they are going to have to give me the time and materials to clean it.

Ijust got my new Sterling and it has the new chrome front piece and chrome vent covers on the side. I didn't want to give up my 2007 Sterling with the cat engine for this new one with a Mercedes engine. After 2 or 3 years, we ship our trucks out to the rural plants that we have. By that time, all the warranty bugs are ironed out. But the chrome is terrible and is just one extra thing to clean.

Yeah, call me stupid but I'm thinking that this is the last truck I'll have before I retire. It didn't have factory air and I wanted to be comfortable. So, I bought an after-market unit and the mechanics installed it for me. I bought them lunch and everyone was happy.

^^ Our bulker had air in it from the factory, but the company paid to remove it.. then about 2 years ago they paid to have a Redot unit put in.. It's nice.. oh and I have air, BUT MY FCUKING BLOWER WENT OUT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It went out last friday and the mechanic "fixed" it on monday I hauled two loads after he fixed it and it went out on my way back.He said it keeps losing a connection so I told him to order a new plug, he said it wasnt the plug so I told him to order a new blower motor.. He talked to the fleet manager and ordered a new plug, like I told him 5 months ago..

Thankfully, there is a law in TX that says all commercial vehicles have to have a working a/c and heater.

Its in our contract that if it had air from the factory, the shop has to keep it in working order.
Since we replaced our fleet, we only have one truck left that doesn't have air. And guess which one I'll likely get when the guy retires?
