Hey guys, Im Josh. I'm from central MN about a hr from the Twin cities. Ive been driving tractor trailer for a lil over 2 years, 2 years at a foodservice company and 3 months with a freight company. Ive been thinking about getting a mixer job but idk. I love mixers and would love to drive one. But thought I would say hi

If you wanna drive a mixer, go for it. It's a bit different than a tractor trailer. Just be ready for the winters every year.

Yeah, we get a bunch of long haul guys that don't like it. Its about as different as you can get. There's no set start times, the load is moving (and top heavy), and there's a lot of hurry up and wait stuff.
That said, I love doing it and encourage anybody that wants to to give it a try. Just beware that construction is slow now.
