Don't You just love it when your book is slammed for the day and you have 1 or 2 drivers that have to park , walk to the office and say with a dumb look on there face ( You want me to pull under or what ) Or another good one is when everybody thinks that your driver is your boss, Gotta love that one ( NOSER ). LOL

i had that quite often with a big commercial job here, contractor wanted 100+ cyds per hour, if a guy pulled in and there was a truck loading, he'd walk in and hand in his ticket, then wait until the truck was pulling out to go out and get in his truck. had another guy who is no longer here, whatever time of day it was, every load, as he was pulling under he'd come over the radio and say,"You want me to spin it up?" whether he just watched 10 trucks all get batched back to back out of here or not, very aggravating. and as far as coming in if you are waiting, why not save yourself the trip if you know you'll be loaded when the guy comes out from under the plant, bring in your ticket when you are loading...it's exercise i guess.

What I really think is funny is when I go out in a truck and leave someone else here to batch and dispatch, You always wind up having to do damage control plus all of the other drivers are pi--ed off because they got screwed too, just goes to show just how easy our job really is I guess in the minds of some.

oh yeah, i hate that...that's why i am so tied to my job here, no one does it how i like it, had a backup here that did a good job, but when the big cheese that used to be here would take over the scheduling for the next day, he'd have guys coming in when i would have to load them, we'd be late on everything. he never really attempted to help me do anything and i was fine with that, why he put so much pressure on the other guy is beyond me, this guy could not even batch a truck after 4 years managing here!

this guy could not even batch a truck after 4 years managing here! So there is a conspiracy in the office.. ;D Sounds like salary ppl taking care of their own.. My Q here is,,, Is this a case of The more ya make the LESS ya do? Haven't we learned anything from the auto plants or airline industry and are we going to continue blame poor profits on the plant workers.. Opps sorry this had nothing to do with Parking (checks my post count anyways)

well these threads always wander so...but yes, the bigger the company, the more dead weight they seem to pull. i understand why they are loyal to some, but don't make me suffer because of it, get someone in here that can do something. thankfully i'm not in that situation anymore. if you want to continue to pay a guy, pay him and leave him at home. get someone else in that spot that wants to work.

LOL Hmm not uncommen on the plants where drivers are working together with the production staff. hence the cleaning water from the mixer is often easy to dump into a truck and let the truck drive it to recycel facility
