Hi to all here, from London England. Its sad to see you guys talking shop in your spare time (which ain't much, being a mixer driver.) The fact I'm year shows my age, I been in this game far to long, I'm starting to post messages on a mixer driver forum now. The grey stuff as finally got to me it seems, no hope for me now.

Ah, hell. It isn't so bad talking shop. It takes up so much of our time, its hard to just have it stop when you clock out.

I agree, Mort. Sometimes you have to unload and it helps if someone else knows what you're talking about.

A lot of kindred spirits here. That's a good way to see it.

Hi all, I was just pulling your legs about talking shop (joking) ;D
Batcher22 I work for my self as a cover driver, for the big four in London, not so much London Concrete, I got quite a few Owner Drivers I work for and the odd ones who have a few trucks, one guy as 17 trucks, but he's a pain in the arse. Tarmac I do most work for and a bit of Hanson, but it differers from year to year.
What plant do you batch at Mr 22.

A recent study found the average American walks about 900 miles per year. Another study found Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a year. That means the average American gets about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud to be an American.

I don't think you could classify us as "Average Americans". I know I drink more than my share. Hehe
