Hi Kirky.....Welcome to America. What does 8 meters translate to in cubic yards? I drive a 10 yard McNeilus rear-discharge mixer on a 2001 Mack truck. I've been driving mixers for the same company for over 32 years. Construction is slowing down in the Northeast (I'm in New Jersey) but our employer and his salesmen have a knack for finding work so we've been fortunate. While other ready-mix outfits are idle, we're getting our 40 hours per week plus plenty of overtime. At a time in my life when I'd like to start slowing down I find myself busier than ever.

PS--What are you drinking over there? Guinness or Bass Ale? Or both? I just opened my first of the night. Skoal!

Thanks for the replies everyone. Crazy thing happened yesterday. I was on a pump job on a one-way street. The pump was facing the right way on the street which meant that all the mixers (it was a 150+ pour) had to back down the street facing the wrong way. In my opinion the pump truck should have been facing the wrong way and allowed us to pull in the right way. Anyway, a cop came by and threatened me with a summons if I didn't turn my truck around. I tried to explain the dynamics of a pump situation but he didn't want to hear it. He asked where the GC was. The two of them went down the street and talked for awhile. When they returned it was decided that there was no problem with us facing the wrong way. Gee.....does anyone think that someone greased someone and the problem went away? Well, my wife is bugging me to take her out for fish and chips. There's a new bar and grill in town called "Thatcher McGee's". Guess I'm gonna have to down a few beers while I'm at it.
