A shovel up my @ss  Hahaha. Error was made at the plant and the wrong mix was loaded in to my truck, I get to the job, start chute poring when he notices there is no 1" rock, it is all pee gravel. He proceeds to yell at me, i roll up my window and ignore him. I go to wash out and he is everywhere, running around freaking out. He steps on a shovel and it pops up almost hitting in the face, i laughed about it and thats when he tells me hes sticking the shovel up my @ss for being an @sshole Made my day. I love meeting new people. |

I used to yell back at them. Now I do the same as you...ignore them or laugh at them.  ;D Laughing at them actually pisses them off more than yelling back. It's easier on my blood pressure, too.

Things like that dont happen with me when they get the wrong mix, just tell them you're sorry there was an error at the plant and we wil get the right mix out to you right away.. usually goes along way and I've had the contractor tell me they're sorry for yelling..

THAT'S A FUNNY ONE ;D. I'VE HAD A SITUATION LIKE THAT YEARS AGO TOO. HE WAS WAS A LIL' SHORT GERMAN GUY. WHEN HE WAS DONE YELLIN' AT ME I ASKED HIM "ISN'T IT ALMOST TIME FOR YOU TO HEAD TO THE NORTH POLE AND START MAKING TOYS"?  GEEZ! THAT SET HIM OFF AGAIN! ....IT WAS GREAT!

Things like that dont happen with me when they get the wrong mix, just tell them you're sorry there was an error at the plant and we wil get the right mix out to you right away.. usually goes along way and I've had the contractor tell me they're sorry for yelling..
If they don't get what they ordered I tell them that their argument is with the people in the office, not with me. I suggest they call them. If the customer keeps on yelling that's when I ignore them. If that doesn't work, then I start laughing. What else can you do when you're dealing with an irrational person? |
