78 Mack? The oldest truck in my company's fleet is a 1999, they buy all their trucks in bulk and pay cash so they get a "good" deal.. heres my old girl, 06 volvo

We have a 72 gmc general that is still on the road as a back up. Only gets used a few time a year though. When they get a new truck it can be anywhere from a 80 something to a 90 something. But they are all junk!!! We end up dumping a ton of $$$ in them and they are still just a pile of junk. My 97 paystar conveyor is the newest in the fleet and my 78 mack is the oldest that is run on a regular basis. We have 5 plants and about 40 drivers. My paystar came out of a junkyard you should of seen it then. we have about $40000 into it plus what ever they paid for it. At least I have the conveyor on it in good shape. I don't get it could of had a nice truck for that much.

they buy all new trucks and sell off the junk, and they repaint the good trucks every 5 years so we have a pretty good fleet.. I'm spoiled to have an auto aswell

We've got a 2002, I think, but that's as old as we've got. Our new owners don't run anything older than 10 years. That was great for me, before I had a 1991. And now, as a QC guy, I've got a 2009 Ford F-150 with 4-digit mileage.

You have the same trucks that we do at our company. Peterbilt/McNielus. Looks like you have the same 90 gallon water tanks, and the Bridgemaster Boosters.

Sounds like i need to go try to get my job back up there. But that would be hard working all week then drive 250mi home then back on Monday. But i sure miss it. They make us washdown under the plant and we aren't allowed to slump it either. Time for me to get ready to help with some drywall at the father-inlaws house. you guys have a good day
