I need some ready mix industry statistics. I would like to get some national statistics on things like yards per driver hour, load sizes, yardage per year per driver, anything productivity related. The reason why I need these things is because our contract negotiations are coming up next week and I have a feeling that they are going to do the whole,"Well the economy is bad and we have to cut back." thing. Problem is, I think we actually had a good year despite the economy. We have 30 union drivers. We ended the year with a little over 140,000 yards delivered. Our Y.P.M.H was around 2.85 and we delivered about 4600 yards per driver. That sounds like a decent year to me. Does anybody know where I can get some stats to back us up?

I dont know where you can get them.. but our "Yards per driver hour" for the whole company was 3.15, I was number 2 at my plant with 3.58 and the best for the whole company had just shy of 4.The reason mine is high is because I'm right on the line where if we have over 150 yards I work.. so that means if I go in I'm not usually sitting around. The number one driver has the lowest..Back when we were working alot and bringing everyone it mine was pretty low because I always volunteered to wait for a call back and take the last load, or stay and wash trucks up..Or come in and shovel and do anything for the hours..Our contract is up the end of next month.. I'm not lookin forward to that..
