I feel you, Dog. Our plant was closed for two weeks because we had about two feet of global warming on the ground.

The global warming is so bad here in New York that we have only been getting snowstorms once EVERY week since December. Oh, and it's about a millon below zero at night. Got that, Al Gore?

Hey Magoo! Maybe we could mix the two and come up with something comfortable?

We have been having a heck of a time the past couple of days. Our brand new, expensive, instant water heater went kaputt. We've been trying to pour this one important job and the guy keeps screaming for 70 degree concrete. Dude's nuts. Ain't nobody in this town batching 70 degree concrete this week. We can get it up to about 67-68. That's with an old boiler and loading rocks and hot water in the mixers. Then when we need rock we'll discharge them on the ground and put the now hot rocks in the bins. My dispatcher is this close (see my thumb and pointer finger pinched together) to blowing a gasket. Which is why, when he asked if I wanted to go to the house, I jumped at the chance. I feel sorry for the guys I left behind...Not a whole lot, but a little bit

85 plus if the bins were loaded at least 24 hours before I batch.
Hot sand from the pit, 200,000 btu infared heater pointed at the bins, grain bin fans blowing hot air in rock from bottom of bin, Ludell 60 gpm water heater at 170 degrees.
I have sent 70 degree mud out at 20 below.
90 degree mud with 2% CC = rocket fuel
I can get about 100 yds out before I need to refill the bins.

We really aren't built for real cold weather down here. It doesn't really ever get real cold. I just think this last snap caught them off guard. They don't believe in the 7 P's.
