Why a truck?

Now I know im going to receive a ration of it but, why is it when you drive a noisy smelly diesel truck every day do most drivers buy a another noisy smelly diesel stick truck to drive home in. The way I figure (and you) do the math how many times have you shifted gears over all the years, gotten diesel on you?. Why on earth wouldn't you want a smooth automatic with power windows, no shifting way to get back and forth to work? Diesel is more expensive, now days, still noisy still smelly but you can get an auto, but the price remains high even when gas goes up. (here it comes)

I refuse to drive anything nice to work. It would be trashed in a month. I do have an automatic with power windows and a/c, but neither the windows or a/c work. I'm with you. The less gear shifting the better for me.

I drive a 3/4 ton ford to work.. not really roughing it.. leather, power windows, locks, mirrors seats..oh and its an auto.. I haven't had to drive a stick for along time.. especially since my Mixer is an auto

I spend all day sitting up high in a truck, able to see everything, then I get in a Hyundai and go home. It sucks sitting down low, lemme tell you.

Plus, I'm a little kid at heart. Big trucks, fast cars, that sorta stuff does it for me.

Plus, if you're into modifying trucks, a diesel is the way to go. The faster and more powerful you get them, the better the fuel mileage.

^^ yeah yeah.. diesel this diesel that.. I'd love to have a diesel in mine.. but it was $10k fully loaded with 64k miles.. Hey Mort, its getting an 05+ front end, color matched bumpers and Harley Headlights.. gonna look sweet!
