I wash my work clothes separate from all other household laundry. I've heard that the concrete (dust and splashes from the work day) can mess up a washer. Any thoughts on this? Thanx.

You know, I don't know if it will mess up the washer.
We have uniforms, but I'm highly allergix to what CINTAS washes their stuff in (some chemicals) so I have to wash my stuff at home, which CINTAS don't like, and my boss don't like, but it's gotta happen.

So far we've been through about 4 or 5 washers since I've been delivering concrete. They all get a grayish build-up inside. Probably from the cement dust (gee Billy......ya think?) .

IT'S BEEN MY EXPERIENCE THAT THE ONLY CONCRETE THAT WILL DESTROY A WASHER IS A WRECKING BALL.....I MEAN, THOSE THINGS ARE REALLY, REALLY ROUGH ON WASHING MACHINES, I'M TELLIN' YA TRUE! .....YUP.

YOU MAY THINK THIS SOUNDS FUNNY, BUT IT WORKS...RUN YER WASHER THROUGH A WASH AND RINSE CYCLE WITH HOT WATER AND A GALLON JUG OF VINEGAR...(um...pour the vinegar out of the jug into the washer , then throw the jug away ) vinegar will dissolve cement and scale build up!....YUCK!

Dunno if I want the uniform. I'm a T-shirt kinda guy. true, but I dont like getting mud on my clothes, sometimes this job can be messy sometimes. Id rather not ruin my clothes. After while it adds up having to buy new things after awhile b/c the powder and mudd ruins em.
