Anybody out there have carpal tunnel syndrome? I was diagnosed in 1998 when I noticed my hands going numb while gripping the steering wheel, and it has gotten a lot worse lately. Starting a workers comp claim. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I had to learn how to do everything left-handed for a month or so. Without getting too graphic I'll say that personal hygiene was a nightmare.

Billy, Did the surgery take? I've heard horror stories. I think I have it in both my hands. I really want to avoid surgery, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I hope I can get some help with workers comp. I can't afford to pay for the surgery and take time off.

I have heard that many long haul truckers get nerve damage from keeping their hand on the gear shift level all the time. hard habit to break.

Although, a year or so after the surgery I was at my computer using the mouse and my hand started to go numb again. So, I moved the mouse to the other side of the keyboard and got used to using it with my left hand. The mouse is one that can be used either righty or lefty. Good luck.
