Love driving those country roads with no shoulder. And then have people ticked off when you're not flying down the road at extra-legal speeds.

Eww, drive in and drive out? Wouldn't that make a huge mess? I can just imagine splatter all over the top of the cab and the drum.

^^ one of our sister company's plants is like that.. we go out there quite a bit because we are doing a new highway 2 minutes away from it..we always back in..they try to get us to pull through but until they start washing our trucks for us we will keep backing in..

It can get messy yea, especially if we get bombed on the B side (dry batch). We just hose the truck off before leaving the plant. Sometimes in a really bad bomb the hopper gets clogged with sand. We call it a "snow cone" cause that's what it looks like when ya pull out.

Dude, that blows. We've got a few high maintenance drivers that would just go ape poo if they tried to make us do that.

drive thru is faster. we just spray water on the truck before pulling under then when loading use the tank refill hose to hose it off again. all is well. wet batch all the way. of coarse once in a while u drag a mirror on the plant as u go thru. glad we dont have those booster axles, hate to hear what they sound like when u drag one of those on the side of the plant.

I would have to quit, and I definitely wouldn't get out of the truck until the body was covered up or gone.
