Check out the comments at the bottom. You'd think from those posts that the concrete industry is evil. But while these morons type away with their morally superior attitudes, they don't think about the fact that their houses are sitting on footings and slabs poured by the very companies they don't want in their communities. Nor do they realize how much more their houses would cost if the concrete had to be delivered from a plant 20 miles away.

Well, that's the west coast attitude for you. The Ford dealership I worked for was held up on building an addition across the street because some old geezer thought he remembered fishing in a small creek when he was a kid. There was no creek on the property, but that didn't stop the environmental wackos.

Thats crazy the only reason Dennis wanted to build it was because superior ready mix was just down the street and for years he's been trying to put them out of business. I think once the economy picks up again they may reconsider. They spent millions on EPA this and environmental study that just to walk away? I dunno doesnt sound right.

True: Robertsons drivers do work more hours.
But I wont work for 15 bucks an hour! Anyone at our plant gets $21.25 after 30 days. OT after 8 and all day SATURDAY WOO-HOO. My entire healthcare for wifey poo and kids is 47.00 every 2 weeks. Right now Im making pretty damn decent cash! Real estate investing has done VERY WELL for me. Read a book and edumacate yourself (HaHa)
